We need to protect Australia’s Brumbies 🐎💔
The reality is here, and it is devastating.

The NSW Labor Government is conducting aerial shooting of wild horses in the Snowy Mountains. Brumbies are actively being targeted and shot from the sky, destroying horse families in a way that is cruel and inhumane.

While managing wild populations is a complex issue, it does not justify this level of violence. Animal welfare advocates have consistently highlighted far more humane, sustainable alternatives such as fertility control trials- that have yet to be properly implemented by the government.

📩 Open Letter to the Minister:
In a powerful open letter to the NSW Environment Minister, Emma Hurst MP has called for an immediate halt to the current killing program. She highlights the immense community distress and the horrific reality of aerial shooting, where horses have been found with multiple bullet wounds and orphaned foals are left to starve. Emma points out that mass culling is a heavy-handed, short-term band-aid that fails to provide a lasting solution. Instead of pushing an aggressive campaign that blocks out rescue organisations, Emma is urging the government to show true leadership by convening a genuine roundtable of environmental scientists, animal welfare experts, and advocates to implement humane, long-term options like advanced fertility control.

URGENT UPDATE: The aerial shooting is scheduled to start *tomorrow, 9th of June, and is set to continue for 3 months. Time is running out to make our voices heard.

Honouring Every Sacrifice ❤️
Today, we pause to remember the courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs who served and fell. On this ANZAC Day, we also take a moment to recognise the often-overlooked service of the animals who stood alongside our soldiers.

From the loyal horses and hardworking camels to the messenger pigeons and faithful dogs, millions of animals served with unwavering bravery. They provided transport, communication, and, perhaps most importantly, companionship in the darkest of times.

We honour the bond between human and animal that endured through the hardships of war.

Lest we forget. 🇦🇺

🐬 IT’S TIME TO EMPTY THE TANKS.

On Saturday, 9 May, we are joining a massive worldwide day of action to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves. We’re heading to Coffs Coast Wildlife “Sanctuary” to demand better for Jet, Bella, and Zippy.

Despite years of community concern, this facility continues to:
❌ Profit from dolphin confinement.
❌ Use dolphins for circus-style performances.
❌ Offer dolphin rides and "swim-with" experiences.
❌ Normalise alcohol consumption around captive animals.

Barren swimming pools are NOT sanctuaries. Real sanctuaries prioritise naturalistic environments over tourist entertainment. 🌊

On 29.03.26, Young AJP visited for a Volunteer Day! We got to meet the gorgeous resident animals and spent the day helping out with weeding, fencing, painting and cleaning out the duck and goose pens.

Thank you to .meals for the delicious vegan catering and of course a huge thank you to Moo to Ewe Farmed Animal Sanctuary for having us ❤️
