Are you aged 12 – 17 and want to have a say in designing an after-school drop-in program?

At The Youth Junction we are hosting some co-design sessions for young people to design an after-school drop-in program that meets the needs and interests of local young people. We want to empower local young people to have a voice in developing a program that will benefit themselves, their peers and create a welcoming space for growth, and connection.

The details of our 2024 youth co-design sessions are below:

Thursday 14 November 2024, 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Thursday 5 December 2024, 3:30pm – 5:00pm

This year's theme for the National ATSI Children's day is "Strong in Culture, Stronger Together." The first National ATSI Children's day was held on the 4th of August in 1988 amid protests by First Nation's peoples and their allies. The day celebrates and uplifts First Nation's children across the continent. The date, the 4th of August, was chosen as it was the day used communally to celebrate the birthdays of the Indigenous children taken throughout the Stolen Generations.
