🌮🔥 Mission joined our Sons of the West cooking session this week, where the menu was loaded nachos and the vibes were just as stacked!

From chopping and cooking to sharing a meal together, it was a great reminder that healthy living is even better when it's done alongside good mates.

At Sons of the West, we're building skills, connections and healthier habits, one delicious session at a time.

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re going .

Reconciliation is not a spectator sport. It’s a shared responsibility that calls on all of us to listen, learn, reflect and take meaningful action, every day.

As we recognise the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, let’s commit to building stronger relationships, showing respect, and creating a more just and equitable future together.

Because reconciliation won’t happen by itself. It happens when we’re all in.

Our Participant Fadzai shares a message on World Africa Day ❤️

25/05/2026

Today on World Africa Day, our participant Fadzai shares what this day means to her as a proud Zimbabwean woman.

“Africa Day is important to me because it reminds me of my culture, my family, and where I come from.”

One tradition that is especially meaningful to Fadzai is her family’s totem, the rhino. In her culture, totems represent identity, ancestry, and family connection. When her family gathers together, they greet one another by their totem as a sign of respect and belonging.

Thank you, Fadzai, for sharing your story and celebrating the beauty of African culture and heritage with us this World Africa Day. ❤️💛💚

An incredible night at Sir Doug Nicholls Round ❤️🖤💛

So proud to see so much representation and connection throughout the evening, from Logan Harris, our Nallei Jerring & NGA participant, being junior mascot and receiving a guernsey from Rory Lobb, to Gabby as match day Co-MC, and Shirlene & Katen attending the President’s Function.

A fantastic match and an honour to be part of such a special round.

22/05/2026

This Sunday, we’re proud to celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round with one of our amazing program participants, Gabby, joining us as Co-MC for the day 🖤💛❤️

Gabby shares what the Community Foundation’s Nallei Jerring Program means to her and how it’s helped build connection, confidence and opportunities for young people in community.
