Please help us celebrate the life of our beloved dad John Vegt.

Here are the funeral details.

Friday 7th August.

Heritage Pioneers Chapel. 1416 Healesville - Koo Wee Rup Rd, Woori Yallock VIC 3139
Service to commence at 11am sharp. Service approx 1hour. Parking on site is limited, so please be advised of additional parking at the Woori Yallock football club/oval.

Burial at Gembrook Cemetery at 1pm. 31 Blackwood Ln, Gembrook VIC 3783. Open to all to attend.

Followed by a celebration afternoon tea at Monbulk RSL with the help of Country Womens Association. 2.15pm. 48 Mains St Monbulk, opposite Woolworths. Light refreshments provided including tea and coffee.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John.

For many years, this business was more than just John’s livelihood—it was a part of who he was. It gave him the opportunity to meet so many incredible people, build lifelong friendships, and become part of a community that he genuinely cared about.

Our family would like to sincerely thank every customer, friend and supporter who stood by him throughout the years. Whether you only met him once or had known John for decades, your support helped build not only his business, but a life he was incredibly proud of.

The kindness, messages, stories and condolences we have received since his passing have brought great comfort to our family. Knowing how respected, admired and loved he was within the community reminds us of the lasting impact he had on so many lives.

John leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity and dedication that will never be forgotten. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
