Council is giving away FREE compost and vegetable seeds to help you grow your own produce and cut down on food and packaging waste. As part of our Kitchen 2 Gardens drive through event, you’ll receive:

✅ 2 x 25L compost bags
✅ Packets of veggie seeds

Event details:
📅 Saturday 20 June 2026
📍 Cumberland Council Depot (enter via Foray Street, Guildford West)
⏰ Two sessions: 9am to 11am or 11am to 1pm

Bookings are strictly for Cumberland residents (one per household). Don’t forget to bring your registration confirmation and arrive within your selected time slot to collect your goodies.

Simply drive through, pick up your compost and seeds, and enjoy a winter weekend in the garden 🌼

In partnership with GCAG and Powerhouse Parramatta, you’ll help create 80 woven mats that will be showcased at the Powerhouse Parramatta opening celebrations in 2026 — be part of something special!

Mayor Ola recently spent the morning with one of Cumberland’s most loved Council services, our Home Library Service. 💙

From packing and delivery to doorstep smiles, this incredible team makes sure residents who can’t easily visit a library can still enjoy books, audiobooks and more.

Today, we joined our friendly delivery driver and library team for some home deliveries — seeing firsthand how much this service means to our community.
