Friending Staff on Facebook:
Please note that the Department of Education and Communities has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:
The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal. In short, please do not ask to friend a member of staff on Facebook as refusal often offends. Please view Facebook and DEC User Policies:

Congratulations to our CPS debaters who participated in round 2 against Sackville Street PS. Our team took on the challenge of arguing the negative side of “Kids under 12 should never be allowed to use smartphones” and delivered thoughtful confident arguments. Although we didn’t win this time, we’re incredibly proud of our debaters courage, teamwork, and commitment.
Thank you to Sackville Street PS for a great debate and to everyone who supported our students. Well done CPS!

This week for Reconciliation Week, each class at our school came together to create a powerful symbol of unity and respect. With hands painted in the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag colours, our students placed their handprints on a shared white tablecloth, signifying our collective commitment to the theme of Reconciliation Week, “All In.”
As we connected through stories and activities, we were reminded that reconciliation is a shared journey. True and lasting change unfolds when we unite in purpose, understanding, and respect.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in this meaningful experience. Together, we are building a future founded on stronger relationships, greater empathy, and a commitment to honouring truth. ❤️💛🖤 💙💚🤍

In May, a dedicated group of staff from our Support Unit took part in the Walk for Autism challenge and collectively raised over $1,000!
This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful demonstration of community spirit and support for a great cause. Well done to everyone involved! 💚
