πŸ“Ή Join the Community Camera Alliance – Help Make Queensland Safer! πŸ“Ή
Did you know your security camera could help police investigate crime and improve community safety?

The Community Camera Alliance (CCA) is a Queensland Police Service initiative that encourages residents and businesses to register the location of their CCTV systems. By knowing where cameras are located, police can save valuable time during investigations and quickly identify potential footage that may assist in solving crimes.

βœ… Registration is FREE
βœ… Your footage is not monitored by police
βœ… You retain full ownership and control of your CCTV system
βœ… Police will only contact you if footage from your camera may assist with a specific investigation

Whether you have a home security camera, business CCTV system, doorbell camera, or other surveillance system, your registration could make a real difference in supporting local investigations and preventing crime.

πŸŽ₯ Register your CCTV system today and help strengthen community safety across Queensland.

πŸ‘‰ Register here: https://www.police.qld.gov.au/safety-and-preventing-crime/cctv-registration

Together, we can build safer, more connected communities by working hand in hand to support crime prevention and assist police when it matters most.

"Don't Tell Anyone"

A request for secrecy can be a major warning sign.

🚩 Be cautious if someone:

Tells you to keep a transaction secret from your family or bank
Says other people won't understand or will "ruin the opportunity"
Tries to isolate you from people who could help

Scammers often use secrecy to prevent victims from getting a second opinion. If something feels wrong, talk to someone you trust.

Impersontion Scams.

Sometimes the person contacting you looks and sounds exactly like someone you knowβ€”or claims to represent someone you trust.

🚩 Be cautious if they:

- Suddenly ask you to transfer money or buy gift cards
- Say they've lost their phone or can't talk normally
- Ask you to keep the request secret or act immediately

Verify unusual requests using a different contact method. A quick phone call could stop a scam in its tracks.
