A massive thank you to Robby J's Automotive for allowing us to use his workshop for HAZMAT training last night! Being able to train in different locations helps our members prepare for real life situations and gets us thinking about how we might manage an incident in critical parts of town!

Something that we have noticed at recent incidents is the volume of onlookers standing within close proximity of active incidents, or changing their course of direction to have a "sticky beak".

We ask all members of the community to please stay well clear of emergency incidents. While we understand the natural curiosity, keeping your distance is vital for your safety and for the safety of our firefighters who are working hard on the scene. When people not vital to the incident make their way through the fire ground, this compromises fire fighter safety and the safety of emergency personnel as they need to stop work to ensure your safety.

Emergency areas can be unpredictable, with hidden dangers such as moving vehicles, equipment, falling debris, smoke, and changing conditions. Giving our crews space allows them to do their job safely and effectively.

Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and continued support. 💛🔥
