Just when you thought we were going to taking a break for xmas..
Some more updates for you. The outside boundary fencing is 90% finished. We are just waiting for the final roads/track to go in before we finalise this project with the final stage of the front gates to be installed.
We also managed to get a grant to plant some user friendly shade trees. Hopefully to be planted in autumn.
With another grant we are now able to or should I say in the process of putting in three chairs and our official Havilah Cemetery sign. The chairs will be a welcome addition for those wanting to sit quietly and reflect over the Havilah Cemtery. Did I say how the wild flowers have been amazing this year.

The progress of Havilah Cemetery is moving forward, slowly ...but alas alot happening behind the scenes. Our fencing to the outer boundaries will be going up soon. Our next plan is to place our information sign up and hopefully a few chairs. The gates to the front of the cemetery will not go in till we get some pathways and drainage in. There has been lots of burning off clearing all the fallen debris, limbs and trees. There will be more. Thankyou to the voluteers that came and helped. Without them it would take a lot longer to do. We cannot do this without volunteers. Thankyou all for listening.

With all the wind in the last few weeks this happened. Lucky for us they missed all the marked graves. This will be fixed soon and as volunteers this does not happen overnight. Thankyou for your patience.

Welcome to the "Havilah Cemtery" site Victoria Australia. We welcome your input to add to our local historical records whether it be photos, newspaper articles, or information that is valuable to our local Havilah Cemetery.
Perhaps you have family or know someone related who has information to help us.
We are wanting to create a contact list of past family members buried here and any historical knowlege and photos are most welcome. Join us if you are also from a local museum or historian. Look forward to talking and sharing our history. Its very important for our future generations to leave a trail.
