Screen Queensland is the Queensland Government-owned agency dedicated to growing a successful screen industry in the state. The agency supports locally produced films, series and games, and secures international and interstate production and post-production into Queensland. It also runs initiatives to build skills and careers for local screen practitioners, and funds film festivals and industry co

nferences. Screen Queensland is deeply committed to uplifting the voices of Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and increasing diversity on and off screen. The Screen Queensland page is moderated according to our policy by Screen Queensland Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm AEST. This year's program features Queensland-made films SEVEN SNIPERS, JOH: THE LAST KING OF QUEENSLAND and BADLAND RISING among cult classics, recent hits and a special 40th anniversary screening of the iconic CROCODILE DUNDEE.

We have revealed a fresh slate of homegrown games titles receiving our Games Grants funding, with Screen Queensland backing local developers with up to $200,000 per project.

The latest round of Games Grants is supporting 12 titles from indie studios and developers, including new projects from Fuzzy Ghost, Disparity Games and Endless River, as well as Chunky Quail’s SLUMBERING WOODS which is currently available as a demo on Steam.

We're bringing the expertise of international talent to our local sector through our Production Attraction Strategy and recently facilitated an exclusive experience for a small group of practitioners with GUNDAM's acclaimed Production Designer, Beth Mickle.

Known for creating the worlds of blockbuster action features such as SUPERMAN, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 and THE SU***DE SQUAD, Beth (fifth from the left) took our practitioners on a top-secret tour of the GUNDAM sets at Village Roadshow Studios and spent several hours generously sharing and connecting with our Queensland talent.

Take a look behind-the-scenes at FORTITUDE VALLEY, starring Hunter Page-Lochard—who is also creator and a writer on the series—plus Kat Stewart and the recently announced, Rupert Everett!

The new ABC Australia crime series from Queensland's Moving Floor Entertainment is set in the sunshine and shadow of Queensland’s capital, exploring family secrets, the corrupting force of power and the complicated truths behind the lies we tell. Everett stars as an influential British expat who may not be all he appears.

“I am thrilled to be here in Brisbane working with so many brilliant actors who are upping my game—on a wonderful show," says Everett. "The experience has been great. Hard work but very productive. The crew are fantastic. The city is beautiful. I feel very lucky.”
