💛 This month we're exploring Dāna (Generosity) - the beautiful practice of giving with an open heart.

More than simply offering material things, Dāna is about cultivating kindness, letting go of attachment, and recognising our interconnectedness with others. Whether through giving time, attention, resources, or compassion, generosity enriches both the giver and the receiver. 🌼

We've curated a special selection of books on this theme for you to explore, available on the Library shelf and through Libby!

May at the Buddhist Library invites us to explore Upekkhā - equanimity - a calm, balanced way of meeting life.

Meaning “looking over” or “watching from nearby,” Upekkhā is the ability to stay close to our experience without being swept away. Like standing on a hillside overlooking a busy valley, we remain aware of life’s movement while steady and undisturbed... 🌄

The Buddhist Library and the Metta Centre are coming together next week to host an inspiring evening with Chamtrul Rinpoche!

This is a particularly special occasion as it marks Rinpoche’s first-ever visit to Australia 🇦🇺

The topic, "Pure Motivation," goes to the very core of the path. Rinpoche will guide us on how to cultivate the kind of heart that naturally benefits both ourselves and the world around us. 💛

This public talk is suitable for both newcomers and experienced practitioners. It promises a calm and thoughtful space to deepen understanding and connection...

We can’t wait to share it with you.
