A Wilson Liberal and Nationals Government will guarantee essential services to Victorians by freezing hiring in back-office public sector roles.

This will save taxpayers $22 billion over the next decade and mean more for police, nurses, teachers, healthcare workers and firefighters and other essential services.

There will be no layoffs or redundancies and no one is getting sacked.

But we can't repair the budget unless we get spending under control.

That’s why we’ll freeze hiring in back-office roles, while protecting the services Victorians rely on.

The state government has directed all local councils to roll out glass-only bins by mid-2027.

🗑️ For many households, this would mean an extra bin at home, on top of the recycling bin already used for glass.

In total, that’s 4 bins for most homes 🏘️

More bins can mean less space and higher costs, at a time when many households are already managing rising living expenses. It could also mean more waste trucks on our streets 🚚

♻️ We believe there’s a better way to recycle glass, and we want the Victorian Government to hear directly from our community.
