🚒🔥 D6 RESPOND TO URBAN FIRE 🔥🚒

Last weekend we had District 6 members complete their Respond to Urban Fire qualification with Instructors Clay Derrick, Darren Brogden, Lee Evans & Andrew Tonkin.

A great team of participants that worked hard, demonstrated their new skills and worked as a team. A big thank you also to our two drivers that came down for the day so that course participants could complete their practical drills.

We wish all of you all the best with your future in structural firefighting!

HAMILTON FIRE BRIGADE - HOT FIRE DRILLS

🔥 Hamilton members headed out to Penshurst today for a big day of hot fire drills led by Instructors Jay Fowler & Lee Evans.

🔥 A day filled with sharpening skills, sharing knowledge and working together as one.

Incidents for the day included a 3 car motor vehicle accident involving 2 cars on fire, a car fire including gas cylinder impacted that had spread to a structure, airplane crash, rural trading store & skip fire requiring quick cut forcible entry for access, running fuel drain staged learning experience, fuel loading dock fire and a structure fire in the fire attack building to end the day.

What a day! We hope to see you all back soon.

D6 Respond to Urban Fire 🚒🚒

Recently we had D6 members completing Day 1 of their practical assessment for Respond to Urban Fire. Instructors Clay Derrick, Darren Brogden & Lee Evans led the day.

We look forward to seeing this team back in a couple weeks to complete their RTU practical assessments.

🚒 CAMPERDOWN GROUP - HOT FIRE DRILLS

A great day at Penshurst on Saturday with members from the Camperdown Group making their way across to see us. The day was led by vol instructors Nathan Hill, Jason Clarke & Marvin Chew.

A day filled with learning, opportunities for incident controller experience, refreshing of skills and smiles galore.

With CFA’s IC1 course rolling out, recently we had members from District 6 come join us to complete this course.

A fantastic course with a big day of practical drills included. We highly recommend jumping onto this one! Here’s a sneak peak of what’s in store..

🔥FRAMLINGHAM HOT FIRE DRILLS 🔥

Members from Framlingham Fire Brigade came to join us recently for a night filled with hot fire drills.

A busy night fitting a lot into a quick couple of hours! First up they had a structure fire and two skips followed by a two car motor vehicle accident involving fire and ending the night with a service station fire.

What a great way to refresh the skills, learn some new tactics and get together to share knowledge in a short evening session.

A fantastic day at Penshurst on Saturday with 31 SES members coming to join us!

The day was led by Instructors Caroline Taylor, Lisa Keys & Ben Lamb.

SES Assistant Chief Officer Jackson Bell and EMV Deputy Commissioner Brett Boatman also came to visit and join in on the fun.

Members came together to meet new people from across the organisation, learn new skills, share their knowledge and have some fun!

What a great day!

ALCOA - EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING

Alcoa members came back to join us this week for their remaining B & D shifts ERT session with ISH24.

Two big days at Penshurst filled with lots of breathing apparatus, hot fire drills and hard work by all attendants.

Thank you for coming to join us Alcoa & thanks to ISH24 for instructing.

🚒 Mortlake Fire Brigade Koroit Fire Brigade Warrnambool Fire Brigade Hot Fire Drills 🔥

A busy night at VEMTC Penshurst last night with Mortlake, Koroit and Warrnambool members coming out to join us for a group session.

There was fire a plenty, members working very hard and everyone ending the night with smiles and proud looks on their faces.

A great night led by instructors Jay Fowler, Lee Evans and Commander Rob Howell.

Members from Woodford came out to join us on Tuesday night for a session with volunteer instructors Malcolm Anderson & Adrian Straw running the night.

A fantastic night and what a great way to refresh some skills in a short amount of time!

🔥 Alcoa Emergency Response Training 🔥

A busy couple of days at Penshurst this week with the team from Alcoa coming out to join us for their emergency response session.

Brenton & Trent from ISH24 instructed the day with staff from Alcoa’s A shift and C shift joining us.

Fantastic to see Alcoa members and we hope to have many more sessions to come.
