RubySea starts long before the final red liquid reaches the lab.

It begins with Asparagopsis algae cultivated in SeaStock's controlled, land-based Fremantle facility.

From there, our extraction and purification processes isolate R-Phycoerythrin and refine it to the high purity required by demanding applications.

There is much more to R-Phycoerythrin than its distinctive red colour.

Alongside its established use as a fluorescent protein, research into its antioxidant properties is creating interest across areas including cosmetics and skincare.

RubySea brings this naturally derived compound from Asparagopsis algae into a controlled, traceable production environment here in Fremantle.
