7000islands Ignites New Hospitality Training Partnership with AAG

7000 Islands, the Filipino‑Australian craft‑spirits house led by Founder Siegfried Bacani, is turning up the heat in Australia’s hospitality scene — launching a bold new partnership with Australian Academies Group (AAG), headed by CEO Dr Ingrid Ursua and Co-Founder Ed Ursua, to bring Filipino flavours into mainstream hospitality training.

Beyond the agreement, this has the trappings of a flavour revolution.

With its mission to champion Filipino ingredients on the global stage, 7000 Islands initiated the collaboration after recognising a rising demand for cultural depth and diversity in hospitality education.

The undertaking has earned the support of Philippine Honorary Consul Melissa Dalisay Aguasa, who sees the partnership as a powerful step forward for Filipino‑Australian innovation. The spark came from Atty Virma Symons of the Australia Philippines Business Council (APBC), whose introduction at the Perth Drinks Festival connected two teams with one shared vision.

Under the partnership, AAG will integrate Filipino beverage heritage into its training programs — giving future bartenders, mixologists, and hospitality professionals hands‑on experience with ube, calamansi, muscovado elevating them into the Filipino craft spirits and distillation traditions. This brings to light cultural stories behind these regional flavours and ingredients.
7000 Islands will guide the flavour journey, bringing product expertise, creativity, and cultural storytelling to the training experience.

7000 Islands is pushing Filipino flavours into the spotlight and AAG is amplifying that push through education.

Together, 7000 Islands and AAG are shaping a future where Filipino identity is taught, tasted, and professionally recognised across Australia’s hospitality industry.
