Darebin writers, this is your final call to submit a piece of work to be considered for publication in dSCRIBE 19, our annual literary magazine!

From our dSCRIBE 19 editor, Adalya Nash Hussein : “This year’s theme is ‘Point’. Point as in Power____. Point as in ‘It’s rude to ____’. Point as in ‘What is the ____ ?’.

We’re interested in writing that is purposeful, polemic and sharp (or at least textured). This theme is just a potential point of departure but it’s up to you to find the endpoint.”

🖋️ Submissions close this Sunday 17 May

Artist Opportunity! 📣

At Darebin, we’re running a Comic Strip Art Competition to help shape electrification, energy efficiency and climate concepts into engaging, community-friendly stories. We’re looking for artists who can bring these ideas to life and support behaviour change in a creative way.

Through a series of engaging storyboards, your work will explore how small changes at home or at work can reduce energy bills, improve comfort, and support a healthier way of living.
