Displays will include military vehicles and equipment, including Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle (PMV), Australian Light Armoured Vehicles (ASLAV), tanks, G-Wagons, artillery guns, as well as military working dogs, Army physical fitness, Defence Force Recruiting, food, and much more more!

All non-Defence members must register through Eventbrite to enter.

18 Victorian teenagers have spent four days in the life of an soldier during the Defence Work Experience program at Puckapunyal Military Area.

The participants spent their time with each of the training schools, The School of Armour, Australian Army - School of Artillery and the School of Transport to learn from currently serving soldiers about their role and the equipment they use. They also spent a day learning from other Defence support services at Puckapunyal.

Australian Army - School of Artillery have come out the victors in the Aussie Rules game against The School of Armour played at Kings Park, Seymour on 16 Sept.

While both teams gave it their all, artillery’s fitness set them apart, winning the game 99-33.

Adelaide-based 1 Armoured Regiment are the winners of ‘best overall unit’ at the Coral-Balmoral Cup 2022. Runners up were Brisbane’s 2nd/ 14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry).

In this annual competition, hosted by The School of Armour, tank and cavalry crews from across ’s armoured regiments navigated a number of scored physical, technical and tactical challenges.

The winning crews now have the opportunity to represent Australia in international competitions. We wish them success!

Construction of the new Puckapunyal Primary School is well on its way with the slab being laid last month.

After the old primary school burned down in 2020 (📰https://news.defence.gov.au/service/soldiers-help-protect-homes-fire) it’s fantastic to see Barpa Construction Services making progress on what promises to be a great facility for our community.

Walking for a cause 👣

from School of Military Engineering - Army recently completed the Oxfam Trailwalker – a 100km trail walk in North Sydney that raises funds for Oxfam.

Four teams of four people walked from Brooklyn to Manly in Sydney, averaging 29 hours to complete the course.

Most importantly, they smashed their original fundraising goal of $5000, raising $10 625!

What a fantastic effort! 👏
