Wow, what an incredible day we had Friday! Thankyou to everyone who came out on the day from near and far! We were so impressed with the crowds. So much positive feedback and so proud of our town and the people involved for putting this together.

I’m going to list some thankyou’s here for those who couldn’t stick around for the evening festivities:

Thankyou to Owen Smith who organised reprints of back to Rand and golden jubilee books we have for sale

Thankyou to everyone who got in touch and provided information, photos and memorabilia about the history of Rand for our hall displays. Big thankyou to Owen Smith, his sister Colette, and Fran Jones for the effort they went to for displays in the hall.

Rand cricket club volunteers for working the bar tonight.

Anyone who got involved in the working bees.

Everyone that contributed machinery for display and participation in the parade

Thankyou to all the business who donated raffle prizes. Post coming.

Thank-you to Lawson Logistics for their major donation that helped make the celebrations possible.

Thankyou for Darren Paul music for entertainment who stayed into the early hours of the morning for those who wanted to kick on. You were very generous with your time.
