🐾 What a fantastic first day at Belmont Wetlands State Park!

Yesterday, 28 magnificent dogs took on more than 16km of trails, carrying their weighted backpacks as part of the inaugural ANKC Backpacking Trial. Strong, determined and very impressive—with plenty of wagging tails along the way! 🐶🎒

Today is the second and final day of the trial. We wish all the Saints and other breeds and their handlers the very best as they hit the trails again!

🐾 GOOD MORNING — THE SAINTS HAVE ARRIVED! 🐾

Looking for a fun way to start your weekend? Come down to Belmont Wetlands Campground from 10am today and meet the magnificent St Bernards taking part in the inaugural ANKC Backpacking Trial!

There will be 28 dogs setting out in convoy, each tackling more than 16km with a weighted backpack. Come say hello, snap a photo and cheer them on before their big adventure begins. 🐶🎒

🐾 BIG DOGS. BIG BACKPACKS. ONE EPIC WEEKEND! 🐾

Belmont Wetlands State Park is proud to host the St Bernard Club NSW’s inaugural ANKC Backpacking Trial on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August.

An impressive convoy of 28 dogs will hike more than 16km each day while carrying weighted backpacks, demonstrating their strength, stamina and teamwork. ANKC judges will assess their performances and present awards to the top dogs.

Come and meet these magnificent Saints! The public is welcome to join us for a special meet-and-greet from 10am on Saturday in the Belmont Wetlands Campground.

Bring the family, cheer on the dogs and experience this unique event in the beautiful coastal surroundings of Belmont Wetlands State Park.

🐾 A SNEAK PEEK AT THE DOGS IN TRAINING! 🎒

These very clever dogs have been busy practicing for the St Bernard Club NSW’s inaugural ANKC Backpacking Trial—and they’re looking ready for their big adventure!

With their backpacks on and tails wagging, the dogs are building their skills, strength and stamina ahead of an action-packed weekend at Belmont Wetlands State Park.
