🥇🥈🥉Secondary Students at Districts 🥉🥈🥇

Last week, a number of our secondary students travelled to Bundaberg to compete at the District Athletics Carnival.

We are extremely proud of the way our students represented our school, with every competitor putting in 100% effort in every event. There were some fantastic performances across both track and field events, with many students achieving top-five finishes.

A special congratulations to all students who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their respective events!

A huge congratulations to our Years 4–6 students who proudly represented our school at Districts this week in Bundaberg! We are incredibly proud of the way our students gave their best, showed great sportsmanship and demonstrated our school values of being Safe, Respectful and Responsible. 💙

Well done to all of our students for stepping up, having a go and representing our school with pride! 👏🌟

A special mention to Melanie Loader who came 3rd in long jump in her age category 💪🏻 and to both Melanie and Willow R for placing in their heats for the 100m. 👏

🌟 PCL Focus for the Week: We are Responsible When We Ask for Help When We Need It 🌟

This week we're teaching students that asking for help is a responsible choice. Everyone needs support sometimes, and knowing when to ask helps us learn, grow and overcome challenges. At home, encourage your child to speak up when they need help and remind them that asking for support is a sign of confidence and strength.

📢 📚Book Donations Please 📚 📢

Our Primary Student Council members have come up with a fabulous idea to hold a second hand book sale for the duration of book week. (Aug 22-28)

We are asking for donations of good quality/condition books to support their fundraising efforts. The book sale will cater for all readers (babies to adults) so please look through any books you have lying around and donate generously. 😁

Donations can be dropped from Monday at the office or to any of our primary teachers.

Staff vs Seniors game #2

Seniors come away with the win by the skin of their teeth!! 😬

Today’s battle was futsal and whilst it was looking pretty grim with the seniors scoring 3 quick goals to our one (thanks Ms Hills - see photo for the evidence), Ms Murray came back firing with 2 back to back goals but it wasn’t enough.

The final score was 4-3 to the seniors but everyone walked away smiling and injury free ! 👏🤩

MVP goes to Mr Falabella, the captain of the staff squad.

Volleyball is the next sport to be played in week 6. Stay tuned!
