Sustainable Irrigation Solutions was formed to meet the growing need for a fresh approach to managing water. Sustainable Irrigation Solutions is passionate about water conservation. In the past we have seen sprinklers banned in Sydney when dam levels plummeted during consecutive years of below average rainfall across the Sydney catchment. Before the tight water restrictions there was heavy waste f

rom uneducated old watering practises where sprinkler systems ran even during heavy rain, and come on like a clock regardless of recent temperatures. Lawns across Sydney were used to regular light watering instead of the much more efficient irregular deep watering. Outdated sprinkler types would see overwatering of pathways and hard surfaces as acceptable, while millions of litres of water were wasted across Sydney. Our key market differentiation is that we don't simply set and forget. We embrace the many water efficient products on the market such as weather stations, flow sensors, and Smartlink for online monitoring. Systems will adjust to the weather 365 days per year, shut off in the event of a leak, and send us alerts in the event of an issue. Services

- Sports field irrigation for schools, and councils.
- School playgrounds
-Complete installation of irrigation systems. From design to completion, and commissioning we are able to install the most efficient irrigation system possible in a professional manner and to suit tight schedules.
-Auditing of existing irrigation systems to determine condition of system. We will then compile a detailed list of problems found and any recommendations on improving the system.
- Upgrade existing time based controllers to weather based controllers. Weather based irrigation will generally save at least 30% compared to a time based irrigation schedule.
-Upgrade outdated sprinklers to newer sprinklers with lower flow rates and larger radius to overcome poor installation design issues.
-Irrigation Management. Alerts are sent in the event of a fault so issues can be rectified before plant stress occurs. Regular walk throughs are performed to ensure system is functioning to maximum potential. Our management plans also consist of water use from weather stations showing a comparison to times based irrigation.

Another large commercial project completed on time and working in with our clients on a tight schedule to deliver a great result at this newly built distribution centre.

Over 200 Hunter MP Rotator sprinklers installed and 4,000m of dripline, along with a Weathermatic Smartline 4800 controller, as well as Smartlink for internet control and monitoring. Smartlink was very useful on such a large site where we could use our phones as a remote control to test, flush and commission the system.

We recently completed Baulkham Hills High School's main football field. 159k Litre rainwater tank, Pump and shed, pump panel including mains top up, Smartlink for Internet control and monitoring, and flow sensor to alert us of a low flow or high flow so we know the system and components are doing exactly as they should be.

You can see how dry their second field is in the background in some of the photos from Sydney's recent extreme heat. The main field hasn't missed a beat due to the sprinkler system and is beautifully lush and green.

Hunter I25 6" stainless steel sprinklers were installed at 15m spacings.

A high school in Sydney's West where we installed a sprinkler system on one of their ovals. You can see the difference the irrigation has made compared to the areas around it where there are no sprinklers and the grass is basically dead.
