Our congratulations to former SULC alumni the Hon. Mark Speakman MP, who has just been elected as the Leader of the New South Wales Liberal Party and thus the Leader of the Opposition.

We wish him all the best as he holds Labor to account over the next four years, and leads us back into government in 2027!

Maya has recently taken up a research position with the CIS, whose Executive Director, Tom Switzer, was a judge for our John Howard Debating Cup last year.

Sydney University Liberal Club is saddened to hear the passing of Senator Andrew James ‘Jim’ Molan.

For over 40 years Senator Molan served the Australian people in both his capacities in the Australian Army as well as a Senator for New South Wales.

Senator Molan was a patriotic Australian and will be dearly missed.
