There could be no single cause for such barbarity. For as long as we need to share this planet with all humanity, for as long as we are consigned to a shared destiny, then all human institutions: families, governments, political parties, businesses, clubs, religions MUST preach AND practise . Go and ask your religious minister, priest, preacher, rabbi, imam, guru, prophet or monk what his or her holy book of choice says about those who are of different faith or those who have different value system. IF the answers include words such as then you would know that beneath all semblance and rituals of holiness ―you have a false teacher of and . Then, you can ask the same questions of your parents, bosses, friends, political and business leaders, celebrities and artists, educators, those who are supposed to be guardians and pillars of civilizations and cultures. Reflect why we have these senseless acts of barbarity, suffering and hatred and why they are likely to happen again. The world might just change for the better the more we ask these questions and be guided as to who we follow, who we support, who we let influence us and who we let shape the story of mankind.

Who would think that an interview with an Immigration official in connection with a partner visa application could be titillating? Can't they just watch p**n? Here we have a case officer who is enforcing s*xual monogamy.

Extract of my submission to Migration Review Tribunal for my clients.

1. During the interview, the delegate asked misleading questions to both the sponsor and the applicant, using the word “relationship” to pertain to both “s*xual relationship” and “de facto relationship”. At no point the applicant and sponsor characterised the s*xual contact with others as “relationships”. To the contrary, we tried in vain to explain that those s*xual contacts were “casual” and “not ongoing”.

2. Under the Assessment of the Evidence and Findings, on page 3 paragraph 2, the delegate used the word “relationship” vaguely. We submit that “s*xual contacts” and “de facto relationship” are separate and distinct concepts.

3. We submit that the relevant legislation deliberately does not prescribe s*xual preferences and practices. We submit that doing so would turn the partner visa assessment process to an uncomfortable and prurient exercise---an unacceptable level of intrusion to the private s*xual lives of the applicant and the sponsor. This delegate’s inordinate interest in the s*xual lives of my clients left me wondering whether she was exercising her duties as decision maker—or she was unconsciously trying to meet her own unfilled needs.

I congratulate US President Obama for his leadership and courage in affirming the right of every one to marriage. In the meantime Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard re-affirmed today her view. On the question of marriage, she said that she already made up her mind---She is sincere of course--she does NOT believe in marriage FULL STOP--not between same-s*x couples, not between opposite s*x couples. She would rather "live in sin" with her domestic partner Tim Mathieson.
