On the 18th of March, the MQU Labor club attended the annual Welcome Drinks at . Our new members made new friends and enjoyed the parliamentary environment. We look forward to attending Parliament again tomorrow, this time for the Young Liberal vs Young Labor debate.

Our 2026 Kickstart was our most succesful ever. We met and welcomed so many wonderful people, represented our unions and various Labor organisations, and developed productive relationships with other important. student groups. Together, our mighty MQU Labor team cemented our position as the strongest political club on campus.

SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are excited to welcome the wonderful Tina Cartwright - Labor Councillor as a guest speaker to our 2026 Welcome Drinks next Thursday!

Tina is a Councillor on the Hills Shire Council, and contested Castle Hill in the 2023 state election - gaining an 11.5% swing for Labor in a traditionally ultra-safe Liberal seat.

SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are excited to welcome the lovely Lyndal Howison - Ryde as a guest speaker to our 2026 Welcome Drinks next Thursday!

Lyndal is a Councillor on the City of Ryde Council, and contested Ryde in the 2023 state election.

Because of her, Ryde is now the most marginal seat in NSW, with only 54 votes in it!
