Fire and Rescue NSW Station 101 Bonnyrigg Heights is getting new neighbours. The NSW Premier has announced a new fire station for the Western Sydney Airport area.
Currently Fire and Rescue NSW Station 101 Bonnyrigg Heights covers a vast majority of this area in both fire and rescue capabilities. We are more than often the first arriving fire appliance to the new Western Sydney Airport and have attended numerous Automatic Fire Alarms, grass fires and other incidents. We have worked very closely with airport staff throughout its construction and look forward to seeing the airport become operational.
Did you know all Fire and Rescue NSW stations have a designated station number. Can you guess what the new station number will be? We look forward to reading your guesses in the comment section below:
With Western Sydney Airport almost ready for take-off, and the major developments surrounding it travelling full steam ahead, our emergency response network needs to be ahead of the curve.
So we're building the largest ever fire station in Western Sydney to make sure families, workers, passengers, and businesses are better protected.
We're recruiting 52 firefighters to staff this state-of-the-art, 24/7 station - and its proximity to the airport means it can immediately respond and support aviation firefighters in any emergency.
When emergencies hit, these are the men and women running in while everyone else is getting out - we owe it to them to provide them with the best possible facilities.
This is just part of the investment we're making to ensure that Western Sydney doesnโt just grow, but thrives.
