Rachels Cottage has 2 double bedrooms, a lounge with an open fireplace, a bathroom which has a clawfoot bath and a detached kitchen including modern cooking facilities as well as a traditional crown dover stove if you want to cook the old fashioned way. There are three verandahs to relax on. Rental of the cottage includes a tv and dvd player, linen, tea and coffee and a complimentary carafe of por

t. Texas is a small town, approx 4 hrs drive from Brisbane. It is great to spend a few days there relaxing, and using the time to explore the local area, play a game of golf or lawn bowls. There is a historical museum which exhibits remnants of the town's to***co and rabbit history. The town is approx 1 - 1 1/2 hours drive to many centres such as Goondiwindi, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield and Inverell. All a lovely, scenic drive which can also include visiting wineries, and fossicking for sapphires.
