With the President and Foreign Minster of Iran being killed in a tragic helicopter crash today now would be a great time to pray for this nation as they choose replacement leaders.

With the National Day of Prayer only 4 weeks away, in the lead up to it we are hosting a series of teaching nights on prayer. This first is this Friday night and I have the privilege of leading it from 8pm EST.

These nights are designed to help you to go deeper in prayer. They are free, although donations from the night will go towards covering the cost of the National day of Prayer.

Since July 2023 I have been running a spiritual formation series called "The Good and Beautiful God". This series has resulted in those who have attended being healed of their false God narratives - which is crucial. Why because many Christians have very toxic self-narratives, which makes it difficult, even impossible, to progress in their lives.

This Sunday night, I start the next course in this series called "The Good and Beautiful You: Discovering the Person Jesus Created You to be."

This series is about rediscovering the beauty and goodness of your own soul, and how your soul longs for things only God can provide. In the course you will learn that God, in Christ, has provided all of those things for you.

For those who are uncertain about what spiritual formation is, it is not primarily about helping you feel more spiritual but it is about forming you in Christ.

The Christian faith is not primarily about belief and practices; it is primarily about what kind of people Christians become. And who we are, who we become, is a deep longing in our embodied souls. God designed us with a deep longing in our souls to be wanted, loved, alive, and connected to God. In Christ, we are all of these and more. And when we live into this reality, we become the unique person God created us to be.

I know it is short notice about the course. The first night is Sunday 14 April from 7 pm to 8:30 pm Brisbane time. The first night is free to decided if it is for you. The cost of the whole course is $97 per person plus the cost of purchasing the book.

I have really been so amazed at what happens when the false narratives that people have about God are broken down and replaced with the true narratives.
