A huge congratulations to all our students who participated throughout the season. It was fantastic to see everyone demonstrating teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship both on and off the field.

Our Teacher Aides play such an important role in supporting our students and teachers every day. From helping students learn and grow, to providing encouragement, care and a helping hand when it’s needed most, their contribution makes a real difference across our school community.

Get ready to get your glow on! 💚🖤 We’re looking forward to a fantastic evening of music, dancing, fun and friends at our Aitkenvale State School P&C Disco!

📅 Thursday 10th September
⏰ 5:00pm – 6:30pm
🎟️ $5 entry per student
🌭 Entry includes a sausage sizzle + glow wristband ✨

🥤 Popper drinks and 🍬 lolly bags will also be available for sale on the night!

This week, Prep A had a special birthday party to celebrate everyone’s birthday! 🥳

We made decorations, enjoyed some delicious party food, played a fun game and, of course, finished with cake! 🎈🍰

Next week, we will retell our birthday party experience and reflect on the choices we made when selecting materials to create our decorations. 🎨✨

📚✨ BOOK WEEK PARADE 2026 ✨📚

This morning, our annual Book Week Parade was held in the hall, and what a wonderful celebration of books, creativity and imagination! 📖🎭

A huge well done to everyone for proudly displaying their amazing costumes. We were especially impressed by the time, effort and creativity that went into so many of the handmade costumes. 🌟

It was fantastic to see our students and staff having so much fun as they paraded around the hall, showing off their wonderful costumes and celebrating their love of reading. 🥳📚

A big thank you to the many parents and carers who came along to cheer everyone on. Your support means so much to our school community! 💚🖤

A reminder to all families that Friday 4th September is a Pupil Free Day at Aitkenvale State School.

🏫 **There will be NO SCHOOL for students on this day.**

Our staff will be participating in professional learning to continue developing their skills and knowledge to support the learning and wellbeing of our students.

We look forward to welcoming all our students back to school on Monday 7th September. 💚
