WAAMH Welcomes new Board Chair

After leading our Board over the last year, Claire Timmel has stepped down to focus on other priorities and the WAAMH Board celebrates the appointment of Tanya Steinbeck

Ms. Timmel leaves the board to focus on her young family and her role as Development Manager at RFF. The Board of Directors has elected Tanya Steinbeck as the association’s new Chairperson, who brings lived experience of mental health challenges as a family carer.

We wish Claire all the best and welcome Tanya!

Meet Cath 👋

For 12 years, Cath has helped bring WAAMH training to life.

Working closely with our training team, Cath facilitates sessions with training participants right across WA.

Cath is passionate about education that empowers people to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health, understand the supports that are available, and build up the confidence to respond.

With a background in mental health work in both the UK and Australia, and a strong focus on wellbeing and su***de prevention, Cath believes a non-judgmental, informed approach can be life-saving.

Cath’s formula for good mental health includes faith, family, friends, connection, nature and swimming! An adventurer at heart, Cath has even gone wing-walking (yes, on top of a bi-plane at 1,000 feet!) 🛩️
