Just back from a stunning Walkerville weekend. The Prom on Saturday was crystal clear, but became hazy as the weekend progressed. Looking out over the water to the Prom always makes me feel so glad to be alive. I think our cows (at our nearby Liptrap farm) would agree.

A recent visitor to Casuarina Beach House sent me this gorgeous photo of her son and dog at the beach (pets not usually allowed but for this little creature we made an exception!).

One of our recent guests sent me this great photo she took a few weekends ago while she was out walking at Magic Beach. I'm guessing she was standing right above the site of the old school house, which - along with the historic town of Waratah - was reclaimed by the bush after lime burning ceased in the 1920s.

Casuarina Beach House is right at the end of a secluded cul de sac, and is nestled amongst sheoaks, wattles and eucalypts.

Bird Rock at low tide, viewed from the bedroom deck. Whales have been known to use this rock as a scratching post. It's also a great fishing spot. We've enjoyed some delicious calamari, flathead and whiting all caught by our 15 year old hunter-gatherer son in this water!
