This National Reconciliation Week, we are All In for taking action to make change.
Reconciliation is not a passive activity. It asks us to listen, learn, show up, and take responsibility in the everyday work of building fairer communities.
At Inner Sydney Voice, that means continuing to centre truth-telling, self-determination, justice and place-based advocacy in our work across the region, including Heatwave Workshops Namatjira Place, joining City of Sydney's Aboriginal Cultural talks at Green Square, and Reconciliation art activities at our local playgroup.
If you can’t join us, we also encourage you to spend time with First Nations-led resources and organisations, including The Common Ground Foundation, The Uluru Statement from the Heart, and SNAICC-National Voice for our Children’s 'All In Starts Early 'campaign.
Reconciliation Australia has also shared practical ways to take action as an individual, in workplaces, schools and communities, from reading and watching First Nations stories, to sharing resources with colleagues, supporting campaigns, and moving beyond words through a Reconciliation Action Plan.
National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June.
