The London plane trees are being planted within the chicanes this morning. Looks like 2-3 trees per chicane! 😳 An already hazardous street is about to get a whole lot more dangerous! Town of Cambridge when is that review due??

Another horrific accident at the corner of Grantham and Jersey Street. All traffic heading east along Grantham Street being redirected down Alexander Street. The road is completely closed with lots of emergency vehicles. The Town of Cambridge has to do something! This is now becoming multiple accidents per week at the exact same intersection. It is insane!!!

Hello 6014, as Admin of Wembley Community Hub for the last five years I have taken on board your anger, frustration, bewilderment and sheer wtf factor to the lack of action thats being taken by our council, that we rate payers pay to 'govern' our community. The intersection of Grantham and Jersey St needs immediate action. May we never lose another child or life to this intersection again (yes a child has died here). I have created a petition to be presented to council in Jan/feb to say, we the citizens of Wembley want lights at this intersection to avoid anymore injuries, damage to businesses and residence and do not want another life lost before action is taken. Jane Crocker will be at Wembley ps kindy tomorrow with the first lot of signing papers. We have to do this on paper. I will do another signing on Wednesday am at ginger b. Please get behind us and lets get this fixed once and for all. Dm me for more info.

Team should I add "or safest option to manage this intersection"???? What do you all think of the tow idea? See attached image

Finally a win!!! No changes happening now at the Jersey/Ruislip intersection that haven't been approved :) And all the hell that's been put along Ruislip is now under review. Let's keep the pressure on everyone.

Ruislip Safe Active Street Intersection Update
18 November 2022

Dear residents and community members,

The Town would like to thank you for your participation and feedback relating to the recent survey for intersection treatments along the Ruislip Safe Active Streets project.

The Town has completed a report that will be presented at the next Council Meeting on 22 November 2022.

The report will recommend that Council supports the community’s sentiment to not restrict vehicle movement at the intersections and revoke its 25 May 2021 decision for the left in/left out treatments at these intersections.

From here, the Town’s Administration will work with the Department of Transport and design consultant to revisit and progress the original intersection designs approved following community consultation in 2020.

The Town has also recently had an independent expert review the Safe Active Streets route to assess the recently constructed buildouts, and other traffic devices. Recommendations from the review will be provided to the Town soon, which may guide modifications to address safety concerns and overall usability of the route.

Once again, we thank you for your participation and feedback relating to this survey and the project.

Hi all, quick admin post/query. I have made all the settings so as anyone can post, share, comment, etc…but it appears no one can except myself as author. Why?? Am I missing something?

I want this page to be as inclusive for ALL people who wish to comment on the ludicrous changes to Ruislip Street in its entirety, from Wembley to West Leederville.

Any advice would be welcomed 😊
