Join us for Art for Resistance, a powerful workshop facilitated by the incredible Romecca Sewers, where we’ll come together to create, connect, and explore how creativity can be used to speak truth, advocate for change, and honour our lived experiences.

In honour of the Blue Orchid Foundation by Nardia Green ~ remembering Allira & Jai who lost their lives to violence, we invite you to gather with us as we honour them and the thousand of other missing and murdered Aboriginal women and children.

Last week we came together at Small Park to celebrate NAIDOC Week over a beautiful community breakfast.

It was a morning of connection, yarns, laughter, celebrating birthdays and sharing food together. We were honoured to gather with women, families, Elders and community, taking time to celebrate the strength, resilience and continuing cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared stories, lent a hand and helped create such a welcoming space. These moments remind us that community is built through showing up for one another, listening, and celebrating who we are together.

NAIDOC WEEK IS HERE!

Join us this Friday 10 July from 8:30am as Ya’djin Women’s Collective partners with Kurilpa Kiosk and Drug ARM to kick off the day with a FREE community BBQ breakfast.

Before you head over to the Musgrave Park Family Fun Day, stop by, grab a feed, yarn with community, and celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC Week together.

✨ We’ll also have:
🧡 80 FREE gift bags for kids (while stocks last)
🎨 A community canvas where everyone can leave their mark and create something together.

NAIDOC Week is a time to come together, honour the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, celebrate culture, and continue walking forward together.

Today was all about our Jarjums 🖤💛❤️

What a beautiful day of culture, laughter, creativity and connection as our families and community came together to celebrate our young ones.

From art, play and shared meals to yarns, smiles and new friendships, every moment reminded us how important it is to create spaces where our Jarjums feel safe, supported and proud of who they are.

At Ya’djin Womens Collective, we believe our children are held by our community. When we invest in our Jarjums, we invest in the future of our families, our culture and our communities.

A big heart felt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today so special. Your love, care and presence are what make these days possible.

We can’t wait to do it again soon.

Join Ya’djin Womens Collective for a special day of culture, creativity and community as we celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC focusing on our next generation and the families and communities that empower them.
