Winmalee High School is a New South Wales Department of Education and
Communities Government co-educational school. It is located in the Blue Mountains,
approximately 50km west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Winmalee High School uses its motto, "strive to achieve", as its focus to construct
a challenging curriculum that motivates students to seek academic, sporting and
social success. T

he school has a proud record of outstanding achievement in the
HSC and in other external examinations. Every year there are students in the top 1% in a wide variety of subjects because

Rugby League Update:
Congratulations to the Open Boys Rugby League team who, with wins over Blaxland and Colo, have qualified for the Hawkesbury Shield Grand Final on the 16th September at Windsor Stadium.
Yesterday, we hosted a seesawing double header against Blaxland HS. Injuries hit our already young Open Girls side. Leadership and strength from captain Issy wasn't enough as our girls, though all stepping up bravely, were outplayed by the opposition. Next was Winmalee's Under 16 Boys, who avenged the loss, showing some impressive physicality and skills, winning 50-0. Well done to all those opting in and playing for the Winmalee Wolves, can't wait to see you all back it up again in future games.

📚✨ Book Week 2026 – A Symphony of Stories! ✨📚
A huge thank you to all the students who contributed book reviews and shared their love of reading with our school community. Your reviews helped promote the joy of reading for pleasure and encouraged others to discover their next great book. 💙

And, of course, our fantastic student reviewers didn’t go unrewarded! 📚🎁 Each reviewer received a Turning Page Book Voucher from Ms Facas to put towards their next literary adventure.

Well done to all our reviewers, and thank you for helping us celebrate books, stories and reading!

Elyse Walker (year 8) had an amazing time as Team NSW Representative finishing 29th in AUS (6th NSW) after having a fall at the log section on the course! In Day 2, she enjoyed the 4x2km relay with her squad. She had an amazing time competing, making new friends and celebrating their achievements ! She is now looking forward to focusing on the track season.

🎶 What an incredible achievement! 🎶

Congratulations to Addie, Clea, Eimear, Iris, Jeremy, Liam, Lincoln, Mae and Oli, who have represented Winmalee High School at the highest musical level over the past week, finishing tonight after an incredibly long and exciting week.

To have 9 vocalists selected from Winmalee High School as part of the 110 strong Sydney Symphony Children’s Choir, performing alongside The Cat Empire and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the iconic Sydney Opera House, is a truly remarkable achievement. 👏

We are so incredibly proud of the hard work, commitment and dedication you have shown throughout this experience. Learning an extensive repertoire from memory, rehearsing for long hours and then performing alongside professional musicians in one of the world’s most iconic venues.

What a blast it has been for everyone involved! 🎤🎶

Well done, everyone, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves!

Congratulations to all who attended the Mt Majik futsal gala day in Katoomba today. With Year 8 on camp, it was left to Yr 7/9 to bring the Winmalee spirit and they certainly did so. Well done to everyone, here are some results:
