17 young people from the Get Into Programme, from the Division of Youth Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, in partnership with King’s Trust International, have officially kicked off their six-week job attachment with the Marriott Barbados Collection.
Before stepping into the workplace, our participants completed one week of personal development training. Over the next six weeks, they will be placed across Marriott Barbados Collection's group hotels. Participants will have the opportunity to explore different departments, gain hands-on experience and discover the many career opportunities within the hospitality industry.
At their orientation, participants received words of encouragement from Senior Youth Commissioner and Head of the Employability Unit, Elizabeth Bowen, who reminded them to make the most of this opportunity and embrace every chance to learn and grow.
These words were echoed by Marriott Barbados Collection Director of HR Operations, Danielle Greaves-Jackman, who reinforced the importance of making the most of the experience as she led the participants through their orientation and introduced them to what they can expect over the next six weeks.
The Division of Youth Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, along with King’s Trust International, would like to wish all the participants a wonderful experience.
