Nourishing Souls, Strengthening Communities: Iftar Al-Sa’im 2026
This Ramadan, HANDS - Bangladesh and Lead-Forward Youth Foundation joined forces to turn the spirit of giving into tangible action. Through two distinct yet deeply connected initiatives, we aimed to share the blessings of Iftar with those who form the heart of our community.
A Night of Compassion at Darul Imaan Madrasa
On 16th March (26 Ramadan), the team from HANDS - Bangladesh visited the orphan children of Darul Imaan Madrasa in Adabor, Mohammadpur.
While sharing a meal was a beautiful experience, our primary mission was active listening. We spent the evening engaging with the children and staff to understand the specific challenges they face daily. By identifying these gaps, HANDS - Bangladesh is now better equipped to develop sustainable solutions that go beyond a single meal, ensuring these bright young minds have the support they deserve.
Iftar For All: Serving our Street Heroes
Continuing the momentum on 17th March (27 Ramadan), the Lead-Forward Youth Foundation organized the "Iftar For All" initiative.
Our volunteers took to the streets to share Iftar packs with rickshaw pullers and street-dwellers—the hardworking individuals who keep our city moving but are often overlooked. It was a humble effort to ensure that no one in our community felt forgotten during the most sacred time of the day.
"The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people."
We extend our deepest gratitude to our volunteers, donors, and partners for making these initiatives possible. Together, we aren't just serving meals; we are building a more empathetic and resilient Bangladesh.
We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated core members whose leadership, commitment, and tireless efforts made every step of this initiative successful. A special thanks to those individuals who went above and beyond by contributing generously—through their time, resources, and donations. Your unwavering support has not only strengthened this initiative but has also inspired a greater sense of unity and compassion within our community.
