Accelerating Bangladesh

𝗪𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗪𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 🇧🇩

In January 2024, Accelerating Bangladesh began delivering the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 under the 𝗗𝗘𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, implemented by the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗛𝗶-𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 under the 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Our mission was ambitious: to help build a stronger foundation for Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem.

The journey was never easy.

Over two and a half years, we worked through major national transitions—from an unpopular authoritarian government, through a cautious interim administration, to a democratic, post-revolutionary government. Through every change, our mission remained the same: 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵’𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀.

We connected with 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭,𝟬𝟱𝟬 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 from every division of Bangladesh. We trained, mentored, challenged, and supported them, and proudly graduated 𝟯𝟬𝟯 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀. We also connected founders with mentors, investors, universities, government agencies, multinational companies, and ecosystem partners—relationships that will create opportunities beyond the program.

We are deeply grateful to the ICT Division for organizing the “𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵” program on 𝟭𝟰 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 at the University of Dhaka, where the program’s achievements were presented to the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻.

As this phase concludes, so does our formal responsibility under the DEIED Project. But our commitment does not end here.

Accelerating Bangladesh will remain dedicated to serving the country through new initiatives, partnerships, and opportunities for Bangladesh’s entrepreneurs.

To every founder who trusted us with your dreams, every mentor who shared your experience, every partner who believed in collaboration, and every member of the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development (DEIED) Project, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Startup Bangladesh Limited, Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA), the ICT Division, and The World Bank Group—thank you.

This achievement belongs to all of you.

We may be closing this chapter, but Bangladesh’s next innovation story has only just begun.
