বাংলাদেশে বই প্রকাশ করতে চাইলে কী কী নিয়ম জানা জরুরি?

বাংলাদেশে বই প্রকাশ করতে চাইলে শুধু লেখা শেষ করলেই হয় না। কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রশাসনিক ও আইনি বিষয়ও জানা দরকার।

প্রথমত, বইয়ের জন্য ISBN নেওয়া খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। বাংলাদেশে ISBN সেবা আরকাইভস ও গ্রন্থাগার অধিদপ্তরের মাধ্যমে অনলাইনে দেওয়া হয়, এবং এ জন্য author, publisher, ও organization registration-এর আলাদা ব্যবস্থা আছে।

দ্বিতীয়ত, কপিরাইট বিষয়ে সচেতন থাকতে হবে। বাংলাদেশ কপিরাইট অফিস সাহিত্যকর্মের কপিরাইট নিবন্ধন করে, তাই নিজের বইয়ের স্বত্ব সুরক্ষায় নিবন্ধন একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হতে পারে।

তৃতীয়ত, বই প্রকাশের পর জাতীয় গ্রন্থাগারে কপি জমা দেওয়ার বাধ্যবাধকতা আছে। কপিরাইট আইন, ২০২৩ অনুযায়ী, প্রকাশনার তারিখ থেকে ৬০ দিনের মধ্যে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় গ্রন্থাগারে ISBN-সহ প্রয়োজনীয় কপি জমা দিতে হয়।

চতুর্থত, অন্য কারও লেখা, অনুবাদ, ছবি, টেবিল, বা ডিজাইন ব্যবহার করলে আগে অনুমতি নেওয়া উচিত। না হলে পরে কপিরাইট জটিলতা তৈরি হতে পারে। এই কারণেই বই প্রকাশের আগে Manuscript Ownership, Permission, এবং Publication Agreement পরিষ্কার রাখা জরুরি। কপিরাইট অফিসের সাইটে সাহিত্যকর্মের অঙ্গীকারনামার নমুনাও দেওয়া আছে।

সবশেষে, বই প্রকাশের আগে দেখে নিন:

- লেখক/প্রকাশকের নাম ঠিক আছে কি না?
- ISBN নেওয়া হয়েছে কি না?
- কপিরাইট সুরক্ষার বিষয় বিবেচনায় আছে কি না?
- জাতীয় গ্রন্থাগারে জমা দেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি আছে কি না?
- ব্যবহৃত সব content-এর permission clear কি না?

বই প্রকাশ শুধু সৃজনশীল কাজ নয়, এটি একটি দায়িত্বশীল প্রক্রিয়াও।
সঠিক নিয়ম মেনে প্রকাশ করলে আপনার বই হবে আরও গ্রহণযোগ্য, সুরক্ষিত, এবং পেশাদার।



একটু সতর্কতা: প্রকাশনা সংক্রান্ত প্রশাসনিক প্রক্রিয়া সময়ের সঙ্গে বদলাতে পারে, তাই final submission বা printing-এর আগে National Library এবং Copyright Office-এর বর্তমান নির্দেশনা মিলিয়ে নেওয়া ভালো।
