Rivers are the lifeblood of Bangladesh, shaping our history, culture, and heritage. But today, our water resources are facing unprecedented threats. From the drying core of Varendra to the saline coasts of Khulna, a silent crisis is unfolding.
To dive deep into these critical issues and discuss sustainable solutions, Water Crisis Parliament is organizing its very first "Crisis Adda" right in the heart of Dhaka University!
We will be discussing:
đš River History & Heritage: The glorious past of our rivers and their current state.
đš Groundwater Depletion: The alarming water scarcity in the Varendra (Barind) region.
đš Coastal Salinity: The daily struggle for fresh drinking water in Khulna.
đš Hill Tract Crisis: The drying streams (Chhoras) and water hardships in hilly areas.
