In the Holy Quran, the prohibition of homosexual acts is primarily highlighted through the narrative of Prophet Lut (Lot), peace be upon him, and his admonition of his people for engaging in same-sex sexual conduct.

1. Surah Al-A'raf (7:80–81)

Allah says regarding Prophet Lut's dialogue with his people:

> "And [remember] Lot, when he said to his people, 'Do you commit a shameful deed (*fahishah*) that no man has ever done before you? You lust after men instead of women! You are certainly transgressing people.'

2. Surah An-Naml (27:54–55)

Allah details Prophet Lut's warning against the public and lustful nature of their actions:

> "And [remember] Lot, when he said to his people, 'Do you commit that shameful deed while you can see one another? Do you really lust after men instead of women? In fact, you are a people acting ignorantly.'

3. Surah Al-Ankabut (29:28–29)

Allah recounts Prophet Lut's rebuke regarding the departure from the natural order:

> "And [remember] when Lot said to his people, 'You certainly commit a shameful deed that no man has ever done before you. Do you really lust after men, abuse the travelers, and practice evil openly in your gatherings?'"

4. Surah Al-Anbiya (21:74)

Allah describes the society of Lut and His deliverance of Prophet Lut from their evil practices:

> "And to Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge, and delivered him from the society engrossed in shameful practices (al-khaba'ith). They were certainly an evil, rebellious people."

In Islamic theology, Allah (God) alone is the Provider and Giver of rain. Rain is considered one of the great signs (ayat) of Allah’s mercy, power, and divine sustenance (rizq) for His creation.

The Quran repeatedly emphasizes that Allah is the One who controls the clouds, sends down rain, and brings life to dead land through it:

1. Life to the Earth
> "And Allah sends down rain from the sky, giving life to the earth after its death. Surely in this is a sign for those who listen." [1]

2. Measured Sustenance
> "We send down rain from the sky in perfect measure, causing it to soak into the earth. And We are surely able to take it away." [2]

3. Signs of Hope and Wisdom:
Allah connects the physical process of weather to spiritual reflection:

> "And one of His signs is that He shows you lightning, inspiring [you with] hope and fear. And He sends down rain from the sky, reviving the earth after its death. Surely in this are signs for people who understand." [3]

4. The Process of Nature Under Divine Command:
Allah controls every stage of the hydrological cycle, sending the winds to form clouds and driving them where He pleases
> "And it is Allah Who sends the winds, which then stir up [vapour, forming] clouds, and then We drive them to a lifeless land, giving life to the earth after its death. Similar is the Resurrection." [4]

Most of the people do not believe in the signs of Allah.

As drought grips much of England and heatwaves batter the usually lush country, Muslims scholars are urging a unique response to dealing with the extreme weather – the Islamic practice of praying for rain, Salat al-Istisqa.

The western philosophy behind legalizing po*******hy is mainly based on individual liberty, privacy, sexual autonomy, and the harm principle—the idea that the state should not criminalize private, consensual adult behavior unless it causes demonstrable harm to others.

Main arguments
Individual freedom

Liberal philosophers argue that consenting adults should generally be free to create, distribute, or consume sexually explicit material as a form of personal choice and expression. The state’s disapproval of an activity is not, by itself, considered sufficient justification for criminal prohibition.

Privacy and autonomy

Legalization protects a private sphere in which adults can explore their sexuality, preferences, and beliefs without coercive government interference. This is often described as moral independence or sexual autonomy.

Freedom of expression

Some po*******hy is treated as expressive material, even if many people find it offensive or distasteful. From this perspective, banning it may create a dangerous precedent in which governments suppress unpopular forms of expression based on moral or religious judgments.

Harm principle

The strongest philosophical boundary is consent and harm. Legal systems that permit adult po*******hy still generally prohibit material involving children, coercion, trafficking, non-consensual recordings, or exploitation because these violate the rights and safety of others.

Practical regulation

Some supporters prefer legalization with regulation rather than prohibition because regulation can focus on:

- Verifying that all performers are consenting adults.
- Preventing trafficking, coercion, and abuse.
- Criminalizing non-consensual intimate images.
- Restricting access by minors.
- Preventing unwanted public exposure.
- Enforcing workplace and public-decency rules.

A legal-philosophical argument is that regulation can address specific harms more proportionately than banning all adult material; even some scholars who support restrictions argue that criminalizing production, distribution, and consumption altogether is an excessive response.

In Islam, viewing, producing, or engaging with po*******hy is strictly prohibited (Haraam) by consensus of Islamic scholars (Ijma'). Islam emphasizes the preservation of modesty, chastity, and spiritual purity, and views po*******hy as a major transgression that corrupts individual spirituality, marriages, and society at large.

1. Direct Command to Lower the Gaze

> "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do." [1]

Similarly, Allah commands believing women:
> **وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ...**
> "And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity..." [2]

2. Protecting Chastity and Avoiding Means to Zina
In Islam, a core characteristic of true believers is guarding their private parts and sexual desires for marriage alone:

> "...and those who guard their chastity." [3]

"And do not approach unlawful sexual in*******se (Zina)..." (Surah Al-Isra, 17:32).

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) referred to looking at the forbidden as the "adultery/fornication of the eyes" (zina al-'ayn):
> "The Zina of the eyes is looking (at that which is unlawful)..." (Sahih Muslim)

09/08/2026

The Holy Qur'an presents a profound perspective on the consciousness of non-human creation. Rather than viewing animals, plants, or inanimate elements as devoid of awareness, the Qur'an reveals that all creations—including animals, birds, insects, and even inanimate matter—possess a unique form of consciousness, awareness, and devotion to Allah.

Human beings are often unaware of these modes of consciousness because they operate beyond human perception.

1. Universal Awareness and Praise (Tasbīḥ)
The Qur'an emphasizes that every single entity in the universe continuously glorifies Allah with its own form of awareness, though humans cannot comprehend their language:

> "The seven heavens, the earth, and all those in them glorify Him. There is not a single thing that does not glorify His praises—but you cannot comprehend their glorification. He is indeed Most Forbearing, All-Forgiving." [1]

Furthermore, Allah explains that animals and birds possess a conscious awareness of how to pray and glorify Him:

> "Do you not see that Allah is glorified by all those in the heavens and the earth, even the birds as they soar? Each knows its manner of prayer and glorification. And Allah has perfect knowledge of all they do." [2]

2. Cognitive Awareness in Animals and Insects
The Qur'an describes instances of high cognitive awareness, social coordination, and moral/situational reasoning among insects and birds:

The Consciousness of the Ant
When Prophet Sulaymān (Solomon) and his army approached, an ant demonstrated self-awareness, social awareness, and foresight by warning its colony:

> "And when they came across a valley of ants, an ant warned, 'O ants! Go quickly into your homes so Solomon and his armies do not crush you unknowingly.'" [3]

The Consciousness of the Hoopoe (*Hudhud*)
The Hoopoe bird in the story of Prophet Sulaymān displayed theological awareness, critical thinking, and observation when reporting on the Kingdom of Sheba:

> "The bird did not stay long, then said, 'I have learned something you do not know. I have come to you from Sheba with reliable news... I found a woman ruling over them... I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah...'" (Surah An-Naml, 27:22–24)

3. Animal Communities as Nations (Umam)
The Qur'an explicitly compares animal and bird communities to human communities, indicating that they share structured lives, social awareness, and divine oversight:

> "There is no creature on the earth or bird that flies with its wings except that they are communities like you..." (Surah Al-An'am, 6:38)

4. Consciousness of Inanimate Matter (Earth, Heavens, and Stones)
The Qur'an speaks of the earth and the heavens having a form of consciousness that allows them to respond to Allah's command:

Obedience of Heavens and Earth:
> "Then He turned to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, 'Come [into being], willingly or involuntarily.' They said, 'We have come willingly.'" (Surah Fussilat, 41:11)

Humility of Stones:
> "And indeed, there are some stones from which rivers gush forth... and indeed, there are some that fall down out of fear of Allah..."(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:74)
