Today, two new initiatives were officially registered by the European Commission. Once launched, they will start collecting signatures from citizens across the EU.

With the European citizens’ initiative, you can bring your ideas to the EU’s policy agenda – and today, a group of citizens did exactly that.

The initiative ‘Ban on conversion practices in the EU’ has been submitted to the Commission for examination after collecting over 1.12 million signatures.

What happens next?
✅Within 1 month, the Commission will meet with the organisers to discuss the initiative in detail
✅Within 3 months, the European Parliament will organise a public hearing
✅Within 6 months, the Commission will give an official response
