We are proud to acknowledge four of our Soldiers who successfully completed The Authentic Athens Marathon last weekend. 🇬🇷🏛️

Recognized as one of the most challenging marathon courses due to its demanding terrain and variable weather conditions, this event required exceptional endurance, discipline, and resilience. Each participant demonstrated great commitment in representing Allied Forces North Battalion throughout the 26.2-mile course.

🚒🚛🚜 On Saturday, September 20th, AFNORTH Bn hosted "Touch a Truck" for the SHAPE Community. Here, we created a free, family-friendly event opportunity where children explored and climbed inside a variety of vehicles—from construction equipment and military trucks to emergency response vehicles and more! "Touch a Truck" drew in an estimated 300 children and families and featured over 30 vehicles and 25 external entities, including local businesses and the local University of Mons (BE).

On September 11th, Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Allied Forces North Battalion participated in a 9/11 Memorial Ruck March organized by the United States Air Force around Chievres Air Field. The event featured a meaningful ceremony honoring the victims and heroes of the September 11th attacks, providing an opportunity for participants to reflect on the sacrifices made that day and to honor the enduring legacy of service and resilience that followed. 🇺🇸

The Soldiers and families hosted a Bike Safety event for over 40 U.S. and international kids on SHAPE. The event started with AFNORTH Soldiers teaching kids how to check their brakes and tires, the participants then had the opportunity to put their skills to the test with an interactive bike path to help reinforce safe riding practices before summer break starts.

Chaplain Wolford held an Ash Wednesday service this past Wednesday for SHAPE families to have a time for personal reflection and spiritual renewal. The service was followed by a dinner.
