ARMY DENTAL CLINICS IN EUROPE TEMPORARILY SUSPEND ROUTINE OR ELECTIVE CARE

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Europe and in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus and protect the health and welfare of its beneficiary population, effectively immediately, all Army Dental Clinics in Europe are temporarily suspending all routine dental appointments.

Routine, or elective, appointments are those that do not require immediate or urgent care and can be postponed until risk of transmission of COVID-19 is lower.

Elective care includes; routine cleanings, fillings or restorative work, including pediatric and orthodontic care.

Patients with routine appointments will be notified of appointment cancellations and provided information on when and how to reschedule.

Army Dental Clinics will, however, continue to see patients on an “emergency” basis.

Dear Community,

Due to COVID-19 Virus we have been directed by our chain of command to mitigate the risk of spread of the virus within the community by stopping all routine care to include readiness exams.

Starting immediately, until further instructed, the US Dental Clinic will be operating at an acute care status only. This means that we will only be treating dental emergency cases.

We ask that you first call the clinic if you suspect care is needed. Most importatnly, we ask that if you are showing any signs of COVID-19, to include flu like symptoms or respiratory complications, that you do not come to the clinic. Instead contact the nurse advice line or the SHAPE Healthcare Facility.

Shape Dental Clinic will be closed, after lunch today, for staff training. We will resume normal business hours tomorrow @ 0730
