In Section 15 of Department Order 198, the IRR of Republic Act 11058, all workplaces shall have certified first aiders. Based on Department Order No. 235 S. 2022 (see photo), depending on the number of workers and risk-category, trainings can be on Emergency First Aid (1 day), Occupational First Aid (2 days) or Standard First Aid (4 days).

¿POR QUÉ NACE LA CONFEDERACIÓN MUNDIAL DE PROFESIONALES DE LA SALUD DE EMERGENCIA Y PARAMEDICINA – IPA?

🌍 Una realidad compartida

En cada país del mundo existen profesionales que dedican su vida a proteger y salvar vidas: enfermeros, paramédicos, técnicos en emergencias, rescatistas, bomberos, voluntarios y especialistas en atención prehospitalaria.

Sin embargo, la experiencia, el conocimiento y la trayectoria acumulados por estos profesionales suelen quedar limitados a los sistemas y estructuras de cada país, dificultando muchas veces el intercambio, la cooperación y el reconocimiento de su labor más allá de sus fronteras.

🫂 Por qué decidimos crearla

La International Paramedic Alliance (IPA) considera que ha llegado el momento de construir un espacio internacional de encuentro, cooperación y representación para quienes trabajan diariamente al servicio de la vida.

Por ello, el 7 de agosto de 2026 quedó constituida la Confederación Mundial de Profesionales de la Salud de Emergencia y Paramedicina – IPA, como una iniciativa destinada a fortalecer los vínculos entre profesionales, instituciones y organizaciones comprometidas con la atención prehospitalaria, las emergencias, el rescate y la ayuda humanitaria.

La Confederación nace para sumar, unir y construir. No para reemplazar organizaciones existentes, sino para generar puentes entre quienes comparten una misma vocación de servicio.
