๐ŸŽฌโœจ Day One is underway!

The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritageโ€™s Film & Set Design Apprenticeship began with an inspiring introduction to the world of filmmaking and production design.

Participants explored the foundations of visual storytelling, set construction, production design, and the collaborative process that brings stories to life on screen. Guided by industry professionals, apprentices gained valuable hands-on experience while taking their first steps toward careers in the creative industries.

This is only the beginning, and we look forward to seeing their creativity, talent, and passion continue to grow throughout the programme. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ

In a moment of faith, reflection, and unity, Bahamians from all walks of life gathered for a special Call to Prayer, lifting our nation, our people, and every family affected by recent tragedy before God.

As we celebrated our Independence, we also paused to remember, to seek comfort, and to pray for healing, strength, and hope. Together, we were reminded that our greatest strength is found in our faith and in the love we share for one another.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽจ Bahamian pride was on full display at the Consulate General of The Bahamas in Jamaica as Bahamians and friends of The Bahamas came together for a special Sip & Paint in celebration of our 53rd Independence Anniversary.

Guests raised a toast to our nation's journey before bringing the beauty of our national bird, the West Indian flamingo, to life on canvas. Each brushstroke reflected the resilience, culture, and heritage that have shaped The Bahamas since gaining Independence on July 10, 1973.

The evening was a beautiful celebration of creativity, connection, and national pride, with every completed painting serving as a lasting tribute to our shared history and the vibrant spirit of The Bahamas.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ We remember. We honor. We carry their legacy forward.

As part of our Independence celebrations, we paused for a special Call to Prayer to honor the lives lost in the recent tragedy and to stand in faith with the families, friends, and communities who continue to mourn.

Together, we lifted our nation in prayer, asking God for comfort, healing, strength, and peace during this difficult time.

Even in moments of celebration, we are reminded that we are one people, united in faith, compassion, and hope.

May we continue to keep every affected family in our prayers, cherish the memories of those we lost, and move forward with love for one another.

May they rest in eternal peace. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
