À l’occasion de la Journée internationale des droits des femmes, l’Ambassade d’Haïti aux Bahamas tient à rendre un hommage particulier à toutes les femmes.

Elle adresse ses plus vives félicitations à l’ensemble des femmes à travers le monde et exprime sa profonde admiration pour les femmes haïtiennes, notamment celles résidant aux Bahamas. Votre courage, votre détermination et votre engagement quotidien témoignent de votre grandeur.

En cette journée symbolique, elle réaffirme son engagement à vos côtés pour la promotion de l’égalité, de la justice et des droits fondamentaux.

Pandan vizit sa a, delegasyon anbasad la te rankontre ak konpatriyòt ayisyen yo nan sant detansyon an e te pwofite okazyon an pou li bay sipò moral epi distribye kit ijyèn bay tout ayisyen ki nan prizon an.

Aktivite sa a antre nan kad angajman kominotè anbasad la pou l pi pre kominote ayisyèn nan, sitou sila yo ki nan sitiyasyon difisil.

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in the Bahamas conducted a visit to the Department of Correctional Services (Fox Hill Prison).

During this visit, the Embassy’s delegation met with Haitian nationals in detention. The Embassy took this opportunity to offer moral support and distributed hygiene kits to all Haitian detainees.

This activity forms part of the Embassy’s community engagement efforts to remain close to the Haitian community in the Bahamas, particularly those facing difficult circumstances.

L’Arrêté présidentiel nommant le citoyen Dern Jovens Bonhomme en qualité d’Ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire de la République d’Haïti auprès du Commonwealth des Bahamas vient d’être publié dans le journal officiel . Cette nomination marque une étape importante dans le renforcement de la diplomatie haïtienne dans la région.

À cette occasion, Son Excellence Dern Jovens Bohomme, Chargé d’Affaires de la République d’Haïti aux Bahamas, s’associe à l’ensemble du personnel de l’Ambassade d’Haïti pour adresser ses chaleureuses félicitations et ses vœux les plus sincères aux membres de cette église.

L’Église Baptiste du Calvaire constitue un véritable pilier spirituel et communautaire pour la diaspora haïtienne à Nassau.

L’Ambassade d’Haïti souhaite à toute la congrégation de poursuivre son œuvre avec la même dévotion, le même esprit de service et la même foi inébranlable qui ont marqué ces 53 années d’existence.

Nan rankont lan te patisipe tou : Chèf Biwo Karayib ak Amerik yo, Madam Tracee Dorestant ; Chèf Biwo Dwa Moun ak Sekirite Imen, Madam Janine Gibson ; Ofisye Pwotokòl Lorraine Major ; ak Ajan Sèvis Etranjè Leslie St. Albord.

On Monday, September 15th, 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires of Haiti in The Bahamas, Mr. Dern Jovens Bonhomme, accompanied by Minister Counsellor Mrs. Anita Jean-Baptiste, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. They were received by the Director General of the Ministry, Ambassador Jerusa Ali, along with Deputy Director General Kemi Jones. Also present were: Head of the Caribbean and Americas Bureau, Mrs. Tracee Dorestant; Head of the Human Rights and Human Security Bureau, Mrs. Janine Gibson; Protocol Officer Lorraine Major; and Foreign Service Officer Leslie St. Albord.

The discussions focused on the security situation in Haiti, the strengthening of bilateral relations between Haiti and The Bahamas, the protection of Haitian nationals residing in The Bahamas, as well as The Bahamas’ candidacy for the United Nations Security Council. Several other areas of common interest were also addressed by both parties that will bring mutual benefits to both countries.
Further meetings are planned in the near future to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation, which remain cordial and fraternal between the two nations.
