It was a pleasure to visit Ms. Sharon McKinney, Chief Social Worker for South Andros and Mangrove Cay.

We had a meaningful dialogue about ways we can continue to strengthen and upgrade social services on the island, ensuring that our people receive the support and care they deserve.

I also took the opportunity to wish Ms. McKinney a speedy recovery. I am grateful for her dedication and service to the people of South Andros and Mangrove Cay.

Wishing you continued strength, good health, and a swift recovery, Ms. McKinney. 💙

Over the past two days, I had the pleasure of officially meeting with the dedicated staff of the Department of Social Services in Rock Sound, Governor’s Harbour, Lower Bogue, and Harbour Island.

As Minister of Social Services, I encouraged our team to keep up the excellent work and reminded them of the important role we play in serving and supporting our people.

Together, let us continue to serve with compassion, commitment, and excellence, ensuring that every person who comes through our doors is treated with dignity, care, and respect.

I am so incredibly proud of my nephew, Tereno Johnson, who is a Assistant Research Faculty member in Agriculture at Cape Eleuthera.

Tereno holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Agriculture from Vancouver Island University.

It is truly inspiring to see him pursuing his passion for fisheries, agriculture, research, and education. His dedication and hard work are a wonderful example of what can be achieved through determination and commitment.

Keep making us proud, Tereno! Your family is cheering you on every step of the way.

I Spent a few minutes on my birthday doing something that brought even more joy to my heart. I had the pleasure of sharing care packages with the beautiful ladies of the Willie Mae Pratt Centre for Girls.

Birthdays are a blessing, and what better way to celebrate than by giving back, spreading a little love, and reminding others that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Grateful for another year of life and for the opportunity to make someone else’s day a little brighter. ✨
