Teacher professional development is any type of continuing education effort for educators. It's one way teachers can improve their skills and, in turn, boost student outcomes. So we invited Ashi Kuenzang Choden, the Executive Director of Ogyen Choling Trust Fund in our school to conduct professional development programs.
For today's professional development, Ashi highlighted on the following areas:
1. History of Schooling system in Bhutan,
2. Journey of modern education system in Bhutan,
3. Quality of Education,
4. Importance of Educating children,
5. Importance of reading and writing habits,
6. Qualitative research for professional growth,
7. Process of writing and publishing books, etc.
Along with ED of Ogyencholing Trust Fund, we have invited Geog Thrizin to our school to share his views and observations on the school. So he highlighted on the importance of teacher development programs, performance of the students and the supports that he is going to render from geog administration to school.
Ashi had been a passionate writer and she wrote/published many books and we are fortunate to receive few copies of the books written by her which will benefits our readers as the books will be made available in the school library. School management will be always looking forward to have such programs in future too.
