World Ranger Day (WRD) is celebrated every year on 31st July, to honor the dedication and sacrifices made by the Rangers around the globe. Dagana Forest Division observed this occasion at Tashichoeling Goeden Dratshang, Goshi Gewog.
The day commenced with the reception of chief guest, Lam Neten of Dagana, Regional Heads of various agencies including CEO of DHPC, Dasho OC (RBP, Dagapela), Dasho OC (RBA, Dagapela).
This was followed by reciting Gyalpoi Zhabten and then welcome speech by the CFO of this Division. CFO expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest and participants for joining us on this occasion. He highlighted the significance of observing WRD. Subsequently, we presented the video record of Hon'ble Sanam Lyonpo's remarks on WRD.
Afterward, the chief guest addressed the audience, wherein he paid tribute to those Rangers who are killed or injured in the line of duty. He emphasized the critical roles shouldered by the Rangers of Bhutan in managing and conserving the valuable forest resources. He further advised continuing with the same dedication to the Tsa Wa Sum. This was followed by:
-Khadar ceremony and Gosa pinning for promoted staff and new Gosa recipients.
-Zhudree Phunsum Tshogpa
- Launch of a technical report on WBH along Daga chu catchment area and Forestry Uniform code 2019.
- The lighting of butter lamp and reciting of prayers.
The day concluded with a simple lunch for all the participants.
