Success Story: Broksar-Mangling CBNE, Saling Gewog

In the heart of Mongar Dzongkhag, a beautiful partnership between people and nature is thriving. The Broksar-Mangling Community-Based NTFP Enterprise, under the Lingmethang FMU and led by the Divisional Forest Office, Mongar, is a shining example of sustainable development.

With support from the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), Department of Forests and Park Services, and the Royal Government of Bhutan, this community is harnessing the power of non-wood forest products like bamboo and cane. They are not only generating income but are also ensuring their forests remain healthy for generations to come.

Key Highlights:
✔️ Sustainable harvesting of Non-Wood Forest Products
✔️ Improved product quality leading to higher market value
✔️ Strengthened community unity and teamwork
✔️ Long-term conservation of forest resources

This is what happens when forests and people grow together.
